Our History

Progress Savings and Loans Limited is a wholly owned Ghanaian company incorporated on 08th December 2011 and licensed by the Bank of Ghana on 12th February, 2016 under the Non Bank Financial Institution Law 2008, (Act 774) to provide financial services to the public. Progress is supervised by the Bank of Ghana and therefore is authorized to take deposits from the general public and institutions, give out loans and offer other financial services as done by other banks. The company has its head office at the Zion House, Shiashie Road, East Legon. Its first branch is located at the ground floor of the Zion house. Our approach to products and services are largely driven by our ability to obtain a clear understanding of the specific needs of our clients and we provide tailor made services to meet the needs and challenges of our clients. Progress has a wide range of products and services structured to provide financial solutions that meet the needs and requirements of different categories of customers. The capitalization requirement for a savings and loans company in Ghana is currently GHC15,000,000.00. Progress has met this requirement with a capital base of GHC18,000,000.00 and has a balance sheet size of approximately GHC28,000,000. The company therefore has a strong financial backing to offer efficient and innovative banking services to its customers.
